Also known as The Great Wave of Kanagawa. It is a print made between 1830 and 1833 by the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, using engraving techniques (ukiyo-e). Thousands of copies were made from the mold so the stamp became very popular in Europe. Several museums preserve examples.
